Ingredients:

  • 500 grams of peeled tangerines
  • ½ lemon
  • 250 grams of sugar (1¼ cups)

Preparation:

  1. Peel the tangerines and then extract the white skin from the segments
  2. Place a pot with water, wait for it to boil and place the tangerines. Cook for five minutes, remove from heat, strain and discard the water. Perform this step 3 times. Reservation.
  3. Place the mandarin orange segments in the blender until you get a fine paste.
  4. In a saucepan, add the tangerine juice and the lemon, and stir. Lastly, add the sugar. 5. Put the pot to heat over medium heat and stir constantly to prevent the contents from sticking. Wait approximately 30 minutes, before removing the whole mandarin marmalade from the heat.
  5. Let the homemade mandarin marmalade rest for 15 minutes at room temperature. Then, put the contents inside glass containers and refrigerate.
